The California State University, Bakersfield Alumni Association hosted its annual Party in the Park fundraiser on Oct. 20.

The event — which had a theme this year of `Runner Roots and Cowboy Boots — featured local food and alcohol as well as live music from the Soda Crackers band. Money raised from Party in the Park supports alumni scholarships and supports Alumni Association initiatives, such as its `Runner Alumni Mentor Program.
