2026 Alumni Hall of Fame

California State University, Bakersfield inducted five new members into its Alumni Hall of Fame on Feb. 26 as it celebrated the 20th anniversary of the ceremony.

This year's inductees are California Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Jennifer Barrera, Migrant Education Director Janie Flores, Kern County Superintendent of Schools John Mendiburu, retired Kern Medical Center Chief Financial Officer Fred Plane and Kern County Superior Court Judge David Zulfa.

The five honorees were chosen because of the impacts they’ve made in their fields and communities during their professional careers.
