The beginning of fall, for many, is a time for cozy sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes, but to the students at California State University, Bakersfield, fall means recruitment season is here. Employers from within Kern County and beyond, actively flock to CSUB’s campus to recruit students of all majors for internships and full-time career opportunities upon graduation. With this process comes the need for an updated wardrobe.
To help with the process, CSUB has partnered once again with the local JCPenney at Valley Plaza Mall for the Suit-Up event on Sunday, Oct. 6th from 6 to 9 p.m., to assist students in shopping for professional attire at an exclusive, discounted rate.
JCPenney will close its doors to the public early, reopening just for all CSUB students and alumni for a special shopping event for career wear with exclusive offers, including discounts of up to 60 percent off select apparel. CSUB faculty and staff will be at the event to answer any questions students and alumni may have regarding their wardrobe choices for future job events, help to find appropriate sizes, and maybe even offer to help tie a tie.
To participate, students and alumni must present a valid student ID or number.
