The Kegley Institute of Ethics recognizes the value of thinking about and engaging in ethics. Known for its lectures and workshops addressing important and timely issues, the Institute is a not only here for the campus community, but the overall Kern County community for events. CSUB Multicultural Alliance and Gender Equity Center (MAGEC):
MAGEC is on campus to provide a safe space and support for students of all cultural backgrounds, religious beliefs, sexual orientations and gender identity. MAGEC is home to student organizations that represent the interest of various student demographics and communities on campus.
Clubs hosted in MAGEC include: Black Student Union, Club GEN, LGBTQ+ Network, Muslim Students Association, Newman Catholic Club and United Now for Immigrant Rights (UNIR). Other campus resources under MAGEC, include Club Title IX, clubs and student organizations, equity, inclusion and compliance, the CSUB Counseling Center and the LGBT Safe Zone Program. It also is home to the Dreamers Resource Center.

CSUB Counseling Center:
The Counseling Center is on campus to assist students with personal and educational problems, developmental issues and other concerns that might affect students as they pursue educational goals. The Center offers individual therapy, group therapy, workshops, psychiatric services and general studies courses. The Center also offers short-term counseling to help students with personal, academic and career concerns.
Aside from services located in the Center, they include a full list of mental health links on the internet, community referral resources and reading material to help students with day-to-day stresses and difficult periods of time. While it isn’t meant to replace face-to-face consultation with a counselor, it can be helpful in navigating feelings and ways of working through depression and anxiety.

The CSU Entertainment Alliance:
Students can find free content, curriculum, tools and other social distancing resources added weekly through the CSU Entertainment Alliance. CSUEA programs offer invaluable learning, career development and networking opportunities to prepare and empower students for successful careers in entertainment arts and media. Among the list of resources, you will find free LinkedIn learning resources, access to EduCause, Headspace, Microsoft and even a Masterclass year-long subscription (requires short application/verification).
