California State University, Bakersfield was recently ranked as No. 21 by Best Value Schools.
Schools were selected based on the following criteria:
The results of that search were filtered to exclude online-only colleges, technical colleges, and specialty colleges. Geographic locations were also filtered to ensure that multiple areas across the country were represented.
The colleges were then ranked on two main factors: tuition cost per credit hour and graduation rate. The score was weighed with the tuition rate making up two-thirds of the score rate. Colleges were then ranked from highest to lowest weighed score.
CSUB and California State University, Lose Angeles were the only California State Universities to make this list.
