California State University, Bakersfield has once again been recognized for its strong record of launching graduates from low-income households into successful careers.
CollegeNET has ranked CSUB No. 23 out of nearly 1,400 schools across the nation as part of its 2025 Social Mobility Index. The index ranks four-year institutions based on several benchmarks, including how many students they enroll from low-income households and how effectively they graduate them into well-paying jobs.
CollegeNET considers several factors when determining its rankings, including tuition cost, graduation score, the percentage of students from low-income households and the median early career salary.
Data is collected from third-party sources, such as the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard and the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System.
