California State University, Bakersfield conferred more than 1,900 degrees as part this spring's commencement ceremonies, held May 17 and 18 at the main soccer field.
These graduates have joined an accomplished group of more than 64,000 alumni, of which over 60% remain in the Kern County region after graduation to live, work and give back to the community.
As part of last month's ceremonies, two posthumous honorary doctorates were also conferred on Arvin educator Larry Hallum and CSUB Chief Information Officer Faust Gorham.
