California State University, Bakersfield welcomed alumni back to campus last week as part of its Homecoming Week festivities.
The celebration started on Feb. 19 with a kickoff event held at the Student Union patio and wrapped up on Saturday, Feb. 24, with a homecoming dance at the Marriott in downtown Bakersfield following the men's basketball game, during which the 2024 homecoming court was crowned.
This year marked CSUB’s first Alumni Family Weekend, which took place at the Icardo Center. There was a VIP Alumni Night on Friday as well as a barbecue prior to the basketball game on Saturday.
Other highlights from the week include a Pop and Pup Alumni Social on Feb. 20 and the Alumni Rising `Runner program on Feb. 22. Four alumni were recognized for the impact they are making in their career and the community at large.
Prior to Homecoming Week, CSUB also inducted four people into its Alumni Hall of Fame on Feb. 15.
