The Associated Students, Incorporated (ASI) at California State University, Bakersfield is hosting a virtual event to celebrate Women’s International Day, which also coincides with Women’s History Month this afternoon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. via Zoom.
“Women’s History Month is a reminder of what we women have accomplished throughout history to get where we are today. Recognizing all the sacrifices these powerful women have endured to give us equality and respect is important to us, and we want to show our gratitude by hosting this event. We hope to inspire all the women of CSUB that they too can make a great impact on this world,” said ASI Director of Business and Public Administration Serenity Sanchez.
This event will highlight the breakthroughs of women from Kern County and historically.
Keynote speaker Cathee Romney will also speak during the event and address questions such as “How can women contribute to our women community?” and “How can we empower or work on making breakthroughs?”
