Born and raised in Bakersfield, Candice Banducci is returning to her alma mater to become a full-time lecturer in CSUB’s nursing department, where she earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Since becoming a nurse in 2000, Banducci has worked in many facets of healthcare. For the last 18 years, she has practiced as a nurse practitioner, most recently in hospice and palliative care for the last seven years at Hoffman Hospice. She will teach all levels of undergraduate nursing students, with a primary focus on pediatrics.
“I am excited to join the CSUB faculty,” Banducci said. “I enjoy teaching others and have always had a special place for new nurses, so I’m looking forward to getting to spend time with students to help them grow in the field of nursing.”
Banducci and her husband, also a Bakersfield native, have three kids, ages 10, 14 and 16. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading and crafting.
