Bakersfield Host Lions Club is sponsoring a pancake breakfast, Thursday, Dec. 3 from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the parking lot directly behind the Bakersfield Fox Theater, 21st and H streets.
All proceeds benefit the CSUB Athletic Scholarship Fund and the Bakersfield Fire Museum.
For $6, the drive-thru curbside meal will include delicious pancakes, sausage and coffee.
Guests are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to be distributed by Host Lions Club members at Christmas time.
"What a great way to start the day and help our community," said Event Chairman, Barney Storms.
All Covid-19 protocols will be in place to ensure a safe experience for all guests and volunteers.
2020 marks the first year that CSUB Athletics will compete in the Big West Division 1 Conference. Not only do students excel in their chosen sport, they excel in the classroom as well.
Recently, CSUB achieved 11 consecutive semesters with a department grade point average (GPA) exceeding 3.0.
Proceeds also benefit the future Bakersfield Fire Museum, which will be located on the site of the pancake breakfast. The future museum will showcase antique fire equipment and serve as a educational and community resource.
